Term 1 Week 9 A
Loving Father,
We thank you for the gift of our community. Inspired by the teachings of Blessed Antonio Rosmini, help us to live with humility, charity and integrity in all we do. May we serve one another with a spirit of kindness and respect, always seeking the good of all. Guide us to seek truth and justice in our actions to be a light of hope and love in our school and beyond.
Amen.

- Envirogroup's Plastic Free Baking: Cheese Scones
Heat your oven to 160 degrees. In a mixing bowl, mix the 2 cups of self raising flour and a pinch of salt together.
Take a cheese grater, and use the grater to grate 50g of butter into the flour mixture. Then use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour, until it resembles breadcrumbs.
Grate lots of Tasty cheese, I’ve always found the more cheese I add the more compliments I get about the scones. Add at least 1 cup (I think I sometimes do up to 3!)
Crack 1 egg into a bowl. Add ½ cup of milk. Whisk with a fork.
Use a fork to mix in about ¾ of the milk mixture into the flour mixture. You want the dough to be soft and just slightly sticky. You will have some of the milk mixture leftover, and you will need it later.
Place the dough on a floured surface and knead until the dough is evenly mixed. Use your hands to flatten the dough until it is 2cm thick. Use a biscuit cutter to form the scones, or use a knife to slice them into triangles.
Arrange the scones on a parchment lined baking sheet. Brush the tops of the scones with the remaining milk mixture.
Bake the scones for 9-12 minutes, until golden brown. Enjoy! - SICK BAY If you’re feeling unwell at school, you must go to the staff member supervising the sick bay. The school has a duty of care. It is the school’s responsibility to make sure you’re properly looked after and that you’re safe. The sick bay staff can check you out, provide care, and contact your parents if needed. This helps keep everything organised and ensures you get the care you need as quickly as possible!
- Adoration every Friday at lunch in the Chapel from 12:50 to 1:20pm. All are welcome.
