International Student Director

As the International Student Director at Rosmini College, Misook leads the school’s global recruitment strategy, ensuring the successful enrollment and seamless integration of international students. She oversees the daily operations of the International Department, providing students with the comprehensive support and guidance they need to excel academically and thrive within the Rosmini College community.

Misook leads all marketing and promotional efforts to elevate Rosmini College’s profile in key global markets. By travelling extensively and working closely with international agents and partners, she continues to diversify the student body and strengthen the college’s global relationships.

Her leadership is informed by a deep, personal understanding of the international student journey. Originally from Korea, Misook arrived in New Zealand as an international student herself in 2001. Today, she calls Auckland home, where she lives with her Danish husband. As a parent within a multicultural, international family, she possesses a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities students face when navigating a new environment.

This personal perspective—combined with her experience as a former international student—shapes her empathetic approach. Misook is dedicated to ensuring every student feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed.

With an extensive background in international education and marketing at the government level—across both secondary and tertiary sectors—Misook brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Having travelled to over 20 countries and lived in China, she possesses a sophisticated perspective on the international education landscape, blending strategic global marketing with a deep commitment to student mental well-being and holistic success.

Ozana Pinter

International Student Coordinator

My passion for international education began in Croatia and has since taken me across the globe. Through academic projects in Turkey, Norway, Poland, and the Netherlands, alongside professional experiences in Portugal, Africa, and Canada, I have developed a firsthand understanding of the challenges and rewards of studying abroad.

At Rosmini College, my mission is to ensure a welcoming and successful transition for every student arriving from overseas. Drawing on my own global background, I provide dedicated pastoral care and proactive support to help students adapt to their new environment, build lasting friendships, and navigate cultural differences with ease.

From managing the initial application and administrative process to organizing cultural excursions and social events, I am committed to supporting the entire student journey. I believe that a strong sense of community is the key to successful integration, and I am here to help our international students embrace their new surroundings and reach their full potential.

Ellen Jung

International Accommodation and Welfare Coordinator

Ellen Jung serves as the International Accommodation and Welfare Coordinator at Rosmini College. She is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the entire accommodation experience for international students, which includes arranging and monitoring homestay placements and maintaining supportive communication with host families and caregivers.

Originally from Korea, Ellen first arrived in New Zealand as a student in 2008. This personal history provides her with a deep, firsthand understanding of the international student experience. Professionally, she brings over six years of administrative support experience in the education sector, alongside an extensive background in international education management.

Ellen is dedicated to supporting the well-being of every student, ensuring they feel at home within the Rosmini community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, Pilates, and spending quality time with her two children.

Elizabeth Jeong

International Student Academic Mentor

As a Science and Biology teacher, Elizabeth is passionate about helping international students thrive both academically and personally. With years of experience coordinating the ICAS and Kiwi Science Competitions, she enjoys challenging students to grow beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Elizabeth recognizes that adapting to a new country and education system is a significant journey. Her goal is to ensure every student feels welcomed and settled at Rosmini College. Through dedicated mentoring, she supports students with academic goal-setting, study skills, and organization, giving them the confidence to succeed in their new environment.

Sian Waite

Head of the EAL Department

We welcome our students from a variety of backgrounds and pride ourselves on looking after our International students. We encourage the boys to join in with wider school activities and help them develop their English and knowledge of New Zealand culture.

We get to know our students really well, and they often come to the EAL teachers for advice and guidance with many different aspects of life in New Zealand. We encourage our students to be well rounded young men who make the most of their opportunities whilst studying at Rosmini College.

Kane Wilson

Senior Leader Support for International Students

Kane Wilson is the Deputy Headmaster at Rosmini College and holds key leadership responsibilities as the Head of the Māori Department and the lead for international student pastoral care.

In his role supporting the International Department, Kane works to ensure every student reaches their full potential. He liaises closely with teachers and organizes student activities, focusing on creating a positive impact through dedicated pastoral support.

Outside of his leadership roles, Kane is married with two teenage sons. He is a passionate sportsman with a long history of coaching and playing rugby. He also maintains a strong interest in volleyball and a wide variety of water-based sports and activities.

Byun Woo (Richard Byun)

International Korean Student University Admission Officer

With over 25 years of experience in international education and leadership, BW Byun has guided students to top universities in Korea and the USA, as well as prestigious schools across New Zealand, including Rosmini College.

He holds a Master's and Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Kyung Hee University and is a former President of the North Shore Rotary Club. His extensive community involvement includes serving as Vice President of the National Unification Advisory Council in NZ and Chairperson of the Overseas Election Commission.
