On Friday we had the privilege of welcoming Shamubeel Eaqub to school for another assembly hosted by 'The Story Exchange - Beyond the Bell'.

Shamubeel is an experienced economist and a regular and respected contributor to media, government and business sector discussions on economic and strategic matters.

He shared his journey from school to where he is now, emphasising the importance of surrounding yourself with good people, pursuing your interests over what's expected, and embracing the fact that the path to success is rarely linear. Professional and engaging yet completely approachable, Shamubeel stayed well past the bell to answer questions from our Year 13 Economics students. He set a fantastic example for our young men to look up to.
