Our school community gathered to celebrate as 42 candidates received the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion

On Wednesday 5 August our school community gathered to celebrate a meaningful milestone as 42 candidates received the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

The beautiful Mass was celebrated by Bishop Steve Lowe, assisted by our own chaplain, Father Glenford Lowe. Bishop Steve brought a warm and inspiring presence to the liturgy with a homily that touched all present at the Mass.

Our Catholic Character leaders played a vital role in the service, assisting seamlessly with the liturgy and stepping up to act as proxies and sponsors for the candidates.

It was a true community event, with students from Years 7 to 10 attending the Mass to stand in solidarity and support their peers on this sacred step in their faith journey.

Following the service, the joyful atmosphere continued in the foyer with a wonderful celebration featuring cake, refreshments, and a variety of sweet and savoury snacks. Bishop Steve and Father Glenn thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to mingle and celebrate alongside the students, their proud families, friends, sponsors, and school leaders.

We congratulate all the candidates who received their sacraments, and we encourage them to continue in their faith community by becoming active participants within their own parish communities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this day so spiritually uplifting and memorable.
