The Rosmini 1st XV development squad travelled to the Gold Coast, where they faced some of Queensland’s most respected rugby schools. Across three matches, the team secured two impressive victories and consistently demonstrated a high standard of rugby throughout the tour.

Off the field, the boys stayed in the Gold Coast Recreation Precinct, which offered a wide range of activities to keep them engaged. Between basketball, gym sessions, swimming in Tallebudgera Creek, and sightseeing, there was no shortage of ways to unwind. The perfect 30-degree weather each day only added to the enjoyment of the experience.

A major highlight of the tour was visiting the Gold Coast theme parks. These outings provided a well-earned break from the intensity of training sessions and helped the players recover from the physical demands of match play.

More importantly, the tour strengthened the bond within the squad. The shared experiences built both camaraderie and confidence, creating a strong sense of unity that Rosmini College teams are known for. This connection will be invaluable heading into the upcoming season.

One of the standout matches was against TSS Southport, a school renowned for its rugby programme. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, and the Rosmini squad delivered a performance they could be proud of, with contributions from all 30 players on tour.

Following the tour, the 2026 1st XV squad was announced, with 21 touring players earning selection—an excellent reflection of the squad’s development and performance.
