The event an opportunity for parents and their sons to hear about what the NZQA qualification is and the rewards and opportunities available
The Scholarship Information Evening was held on Thursday 19 March. It was an opportunity for parents of Year 11 to 13 and their sons to hear about what the NZQA qualification is and the rewards and opportunities available. We shared how the Scholarship program at Rosmini works and outlined the commitment expected from students. Parents were also offered tips on ways to help their sons with their Scholarship journey at home.
Max Wong (Academic Leader), Year 11 Scholarship winners, Luka Overweel and Oscar Reade, alumni Drama Scholarship winner and Coen Tyler shared their experiences of sitting Scholarship exams and offered some sage advice to our future Scholarship candidates. It was great to hear from our students who have experienced a range of challenges during their Scholarship journey and how they managed themselves to successfully gain a range of Scholarship awards.
The highlight of the evening was the student-driven display of a range of subject tables. Students showcased their portfolios, notes and exam papers, and discussed these with their peers and parents. This was led by Max Wong and his team, a wonderful way to showcase their hard work and contribute to the ongoing Scholarship success of the school.
