Rosmini College Sport is entering a new phase of development, with a focus on strengthening systems and creating opportunities for students
Rosmini College Sport is entering a new phase of development, with Karyn Parle stepping into the role of Director of Sport following four years in the Sports Department as Sports Coordinator.
During her time at Rosmini, Karyn has played a key role in supporting and developing sport across the College, building strong foundations and a positive culture for both participation and performance. In her new role, she will continue to lead the strategic direction of sport, with a focus on ongoing development and growth. Providing a bridge to the school’s executive, Deputy Headmaster Kane Wilson maintains oversight of the department, offering Senior Leadership support to ensure sport remains aligned with the college’s wider mission.
Supporting this work, Sara Prendergast has moved into the part-time role of Sports Administrator after two years already working within the Rosmini community. With a professional background in sport, including extensive experience in operations and administration, Sara brings a strong focus on organisation, systems, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of programmes.
Together, the Sports Department combines experience and complementary skill sets, with a shared focus on strengthening systems and creating opportunities for students.
While the day-to-day demands of school sport remain significant, a focus on strong leadership, clear systems, and effective organisation will continue to develop over time.
A refreshed Sports website is also planned for Term Two, providing a central hub for information and communication for students and families. Keep an eye out for it! www.sporty.co.nz/rosmini
