We are thrilled to celebrate Rosmini’s continued academic growth, marked by this week's announcement of 24 NZQA Scholarships—furthering a three-year upward trend for the college
This week, we learned Rosmini has earned 24 NZQA Scholarships, including two Outstanding Scholarships. It has been so exciting to see the upward trend in NZQA Scholarships across the college over the past three years.
Special gratitude must go to our dedicated Scholarship teachers who teach lessons and make time for portfolio work before school, at lunch times and after school every week, all year round, on top of their usual classes. The expertise and enthusiasm of so many teachers across a range of subjects help keep the pursuit of excellence at the forefront of our students.
We are so proud of our students for giving Scholarship a go and sustaining their effort throughout the year. New additions to our Scholarship success include Media Studies and Psychology this year. Some students attempted multiple subjects, all of which require more classes and more work on their part outside their usual school work. Their participation and mahi in Scholarship classes over the year has certainly paid off.
Students are encouraged to do the following to ensure success this year:
- Check their Scholarship scores and consider entering again, especially if their cut scores are close to the Scholarship threshold.
- Speak to subject teachers to find out if NZQA Scholarship is right for them.
- Any student who gained a scholarship, please email your papers to your Scholarship teacher so that the school can develop a bank of exemplars to help future students.
- Attend all Scholarship sessions - the 2026 timetable is available now. Some classes have already started.
- Complete any readings/ tasks your Scholarship teacher assigns.
- Talk about your learning with your peers and parents to consolidate your understanding.
Let’s aim for 30 Scholarships in 2026!
