Rosmini's commitment to developing future water polo talent was proudly on display at the North Harbour Junior and Intermediate League Prizegiving, as well as the Glenfield league final games. The evening was a celebration of the dedication and hard work put in by our young athletes throughout the season, involving a total of six Rosmini teams in the North Harbour league: three Intermediate and three Junior sides.
Old Boy Ethan McKolskey was the guest speaker for both sessions where he spoke of his personal setbacks but how important it is to have goals in your sport and life. He is an excellent coach and role model for our younger players.
The highlight of the evening was the prestigious recognition given to two of our top teams:
- The Intermediate Red team was named Team of the Year - they went up from B grade to A grade and obtained 5th place. Our Intermediate Blue Team gained 2nd place in this grade.
- The Junior A team also secured the title of Team of the Year and were placed 1st in the Junior A grade.
- The Junior B team secured 1st place in the B grade.
- Junior C team were placed 3rd in their league
Numerous players were awarded certificates for their achievements.

Carter McKolskey (Y10 and Jun A) was named in the Junior League Tournament Team and Josh Leadbeater (Y10 and Jun A) was named Most Valuable Player of the League. Well done!
This double recognition is a fantastic testament to the depth of talent and strong coaching culture within the Rosmini Water Polo programme. We congratulate all the players and their coaches for their excellent performances and look forward to seeing these rising stars continue to grow in the pool.
The Glenfield Intermediate Teams also had their final games and prizegiving. We have had 3 Intermediate Glenfield teams since Term 1 and in Term 4 welcomed the Rosmini Recruits. Sporting 4 teams in this league is a tremendous effort and helps to build skills for our up and coming Intermediate players. The final games last night were exciting with the following results:
A grade - GF Rosmini Blue vs GF Rosmini White for Bronze, 8-7 to Blue
A Grade - GF Rosmini Red gained 7th place 8-6
B Grade Final saw our Year 6 Recruits take on Glenfield picking up Silver in an exciting 7-8 loss.
Well done to all and we look forward to seeing you next year!
