World Day of Compassion Speech Showcase 2025

The annual World Day of Compassion Speech Showcase served as a powerful platform for students to explore and articulate the meaning of compassion

The annual World Day of Compassion Speech Showcase, held at Rosmini College on November 28, served as a powerful platform for students to explore and articulate the meaning of compassion. The event's main purpose was to inspire young people to share their innovative ideas on cultivating compassion—moving it from a mere feeling in the heart to a daily practice of "compassion in action". The day successfully aimed to motivate everyone present to embrace more compassionate behaviors in their own lives.

The celebration brought together students, families, and special invited guests from three participating schools.

Rosmini College showcased the thoughtful perspectives of seven young speakers. Their shared topic, "What would the world be like if we all showed compassion", highlighted and reinforced the core values championed by the hosting trust.

Age School was represented by a young student named Ezra, who delivered a dramatic and deeply moving speech that resonated with the audience.

Avondale College shared their journey and expressed how immensely blessed they felt to have hosted their first-ever dinner as part of their compassionate outreach.

This inspiring day was hosted by the charity trust, Chefs for Compassion. The trust actively works within several schools, providing students with valuable opportunities to develop essential values, life skills, and effective ways to navigate stressful situations. The success and impact of these programs are driven by the profound dedication and passion of Marty Smith, who focuses on empowering youth through the practice of "compassion under pressure".
