For the first time since 2012, Rosmini proudly claimed the North Harbour Junior 7s Shield

Our Rugby Junior 7s team represented Rosmini College at the North Harbour Y9/Y10 Rugby Tournament today at Marist Rugby Club, Albany, and for the first time since 2012, Rosmini proudly claimed the North Harbour Junior 7s Shield!

Led by parent coaches Shaun Campbell and Stephen Thompson, the day started with a squad of 12 and the boys played with great determination. By the third game we were down to 10 players through injury, but the team dug deep, showing resilience and skill. They pushed through the next two games and saved their best for last – defeating Westlake in a fiery and hard-fought final.

Results:

• Game 1: vs Takapuna Grammar – Win 59-0
• Game 2: vs Kaipara College – Win 41-0
• Game 3: vs Whangaparāoa College – Win 24-17
• Semi Final: vs Whangaparāoa College – Win 39-7
• Final: vs Westlake College – Win 29-7

This is only the beginning of the Junior 7s campaign, with several tournaments ahead as they build towards the Junior Condor’s Tournament in November.
