180 guests who are part of the water polo community came together for an evening of fun, delicious food, and camaraderie

What a fantastic night for the Rosmini Water Polo's "Quiz with Class" fundraiser, held at the stunning Markovina Estate on a Friday evening at the end of August. It was a great success, bringing together 180 guests who are part of the water polo community for an evening of fun, delicious food, and camaraderie.

The air at Markovina Estate buzzed with excitement as teams, made up of parents, teachers, old boys and water polo supporters, battled it out across a variety of challenging and entertaining quiz rounds. Teams pondered tricky questions created by Quiz master Geoff Salisbury (by day a photographer), celebrated correct answers, and laughed at those that stumped them. It was great to see so many familiar faces and new friends connecting and enjoying themselves, all while supporting our Rosmini water polo teams.

Markovina Estate, our generous main sponsor, provided the perfect backdrop for this memorable event. This is the third ‘Quiz with Class’ hosted at the Estate. Their hospitality and beautiful setting helped create an atmosphere that was both elegant and relaxed. However, the Premier team helpers were on the case looking to confiscate cell phones, catch cheating while also keeping busy MCing the event, collating answers, selling answers and raffle tickets! The delicious food and plenty of refreshments kept the energy high, fueling both the competitive spirit and banter. Winners for the night were the team of “Unpaid Ubers” followed by “Quizpin Aldiss” and “Team Markovina” in third place. The wooden spoons were awarded to newcomers “Rozza Roosters”.

Beyond the quest for quiz glory, the winners of the night were the Rosmini Water Polo teams. The funds raised will be instrumental in supporting all teams with their training, coaching and competitions, helping these dedicated young athletes continue to develop their skills and represent Rosmini with pride.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and, of course, to the Markovina Estate for their support. Events like 'Quiz with Class' are a testament to the strong water polo community we have at Rosmini. We're already looking forward to the next one.
