Marian Grotto nearing completion
The students and Mr Brits have been putting in much effort to make the Marian Grotto look beautiful and serene. They have been meticulously working on every detail of the project, from the rocks' placement to the water's colour. The river effect is being created by using carefully placed stones to give it a natural look.
The project, continuing on the fruits of the labour of the 2023 students, has been a great learning experience for the students, as it has allowed them to apply their knowledge of various subjects in a practical setting. The students have been able to use their accounting skills to manage the project budget, their technology skills to operate the water pump and lighting system, and their religious education to understand the significance of the grotto in the Catholic tradition. This is an example of how we are making our faith visible and important to ensure that our students are Christ-centred young men.
The Grotto is expected to be completed by the end of the term and will be used as a place of prayer and reflection for the school community. The students are excited to see their hard work come to fruition and hope that it will inspire others to appreciate the beauty of nature and the importance of faith.
