Rosmini Intermediate Grand Final Speech Competition

Rosmini Intermediate Grand Final Speech Competition

Our Year 7 and 8 students courageously ventured beyond their comfort zones and delivered compelling speeches to their fellow classmates. The overall quality of the speeches this year reached a high standard. The challenging task of selecting the top two speakers from each class for the semi-finals fell to our dedicated English teachers.

The selected speakers from each class then faced their year group, showcasing their speeches. In this engaging round, our judges singled out the six standout finalists, with three representing Year 7 and three from Year 8. It is with great pleasure that we announce this year's semi-finalists: Sean Turnbull, Beau Sangster, James Walker, Lemuel Joseph, Xavier Smith, and Finlay Hunter.

In the finals, held on Monday 31 October, all six young gentlemen delivered their speeches with eloquence and confidence. Our judges were thoroughly impressed with the calibre and delivery of speeches at this level. Yet, in the spirit of competition, a single victor had to emerge. Congratulations to Lemuel Joseph, who claimed the honour of delivering the best speech this year. Xavier Smith secured a well deserved second place, and Beau Sangster proudly accepted third place.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated panel of judges, who diligently fulfilled their roles. A special thank you goes out to our Year 10 students: Liam Kelly, Hunter Johns, Thomas James, Max Wong, Emmanuel Fong, and Elijah Wharepouri. Their insightful feedback and valuable suggestions were greatly appreciated by all the participants.
