Envirofortnight at Rosmini

Envirofortnight at Rosmini

From the 7th till the 18th of August Rosmini College celebrated Envirofortnight. There were daily Envirochallenges, concentration on Environmental issues in class, litter picks and a masterclass in predator trapping.

The intermediates have had their lunch boxes checked by a member of Envirogroup every morning in a competition to minimise single use plastic use for a Pizza Lunch. All form classes greatly improved in the two weeks but 8CAL were the winners as they brought in only 8 single use plastic pieces in that time!

The fortnight culminated in ‘Green Shirt Day’ when the boys dressed in green to show their support for Environmental causes and brought in a gold coin, which has been donated to ‘Save to Kiwi’. Over $800 was raised - an amazing effort!
