Top 8 finishes for Premier and Senior B Water Polo
The North Island competition during summer tournament week saw the Premier team play in Auckland managing to gain 7th place in a very competitive tournament. They are building up to Nationals in the first week of the April holidays in Christchurch. Old boy coaches, James Catlin and Michael Slessor-White know the boys have what it takes to keep improving and accomplish their goals for the season.
Results were as follows:
Won Vs Kings 17-3
Loss to eventual 2nd place getters 8-9 in an exciting game that showed real grit, determination and Rosmini heart.
Loss to eventual winners SHC 7-14
Loss to Rangitoto College 6-9
Won vs PHBS 21-11
Meanwhile the Senior B team went to Hamilton for their North Island tournament and had a great four days away with managers Mrs. Liz Markovina and Ms. Walling. Old Boy coaches Zachariah Stewart and Will Catlin were pleased with the progress of the team and look forward to an exciting Nationals in Auckland next week. Close games were had as the Senior B team took on A teams from around the country.

Won vs St Johns 13-3
Won vs Kristin 9-5
Loss vs Rongotai 4-9
Won vs John Paul College 7-5
Won vs Hamilton 8-6
Narrow loss for 8th place vs Avondale 8-9
Thanks to the managers and coaches of both teams who gave up their time for the tournament and we look forward to seeing some great results from Nationals.
