Rosmini Intermediate Grand Final Speech Competition
At the end of week five, our year 7 and 8 students stepped out of their comfort zones and presented speeches to their classmates.
The quality of the speeches this year was outstanding. The English teachers and students had the difficult task of selecting the top two speakers from each class to enter the semifinal.
The chosen speakers from each class then spoke in front of their year group. From this the judges selected the top six finalists, three from year 7 and three from year 8.
The winners were: Connor Silay Sanchez, Caleb Pereira, Lemeul Joseph, Oscar Reade, Harrison Kelleher and Dominic Chan.
All six boys spoke extremely well. Our judges were impressed by the quality and presentation of speeches at this level. Unfortunately there can only be one winner... Congratulations to Oscar Reade for winning the best speech this year!
The second place winner was Connor Silay Sanchez and third place went to Lemuel Joseph.
A big thank you to our judges throughout the week. Year 10 students: Jack Mulholland, Jairus Joseph, Te Whare Paora-Chamberlin, Anthony Angelo and Luka Parker. Thanks also to our teachers, Mrs Berry and Mrs Scholz, who judged the Grand Final.
