Rosmini Red North Island tournament
Rosmini Red team had a great time at the recent North Island water polo tournament.
The team were up against some tough opponents in the pool play. It was a slow start vs Pasadena, losing 4-1, followed by a loss to Whangaparaoa that cost them a spot in the top 8.
However, they played three absolutely fantastic games against some of the toughest teams in the league: the first vs St Kents, and the second vs Sacred Heart, both with narrow losses of 3-2 in the last quarter.
The boys showed a significant improvement in both defense and attack. They ended the tournament with a 4-1 win vs St Kents.
Overall they enjoyed playing as a team and learnt some amazing skills along the way. Thanks to coaches Ethan McKolskey and Matthew Leadbeater who have helped them acquire and learn those valuable water polo skills. Excellent effort boys!!
