Water Polo Student Coaching Programme launched

Water Polo Student Coaching Programme launched

Rosmini College Water Polo teams have 12 student coaches developing their skills on a fortnightly basis at school with Rachael Roset, an experienced player, coach and Year 9 parent.

Having had overseas playing experience as well as extensive coaching experience, Rachael is devoting her time to support the boys as they reflect on their practice, set goals and learn important techniques as coaches. Often students get thrown into these positions but have not had the opportunity to have mentoring and coaching development. This is where our Rosmini Water Polo Coaching programme is filling the gap.

Boys who are interested in water polo coaching in the future are also encouraged to come along. The group meet in the Pavilion every second Thursday at lunchtime.

You can see our Junior and Intermediate water polo coaches in action, devoting their time each week to take sessions at North Harbour and Glenfield pools as well as coaching games each week.

Water polo is also lucky to have several Old Boys giving back to our water polo community.

We value their experience and expertise as we continue to develop our water polo programme at Rosmini.
