Kia ora, hello!

Ka mahi tahi mātou, kia ohoka te pitamata hai puananī.

We will work together, in order to awaken potential to freely travel in any direction.

I am thrilled to begin 2024 as a kaiako o te pāngarau (teacher of mathematics)! I am moving into my third year at Rosmini College and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our ākonga (students) through their academic and social growth and development.

Ngā mihi nui.

Nga mihi nui ki a kotou katoa

Having spent a couple of terms working in the English department last year, I am really happy to be returning to Rosmini College in 2024.

I grew up on the North Shore, and worked for many years at Rangitoto College before returning to my old school, Takapuna Grammar, as Deputy Principal. More recently, I had the privilege of being involved as Director of Teaching and Learning for the establishment of a brand new, nationwide school for 4000 Deaf and Hard of Hearing akonga across Aotearoa.

I have two teenage boys at home, and our family enjoys cooking [and eating!], music, and exploring the amazing world we live in: its people, histories and cultures. We are always saving for and planning our next trip.

I'm very excited to be part of the Rosmini team. My life revolves around my whanau and church (St. Johns, Orewa). My beautiful wife, who is also a teacher at Stella Maris Primary, and my two beautiful children; my youngest is at Stella Maris primary, with my oldest at Rosmini College.

I have now being teaching close on 30 years in various different roles! My country of birth is England, a small village in the Peak District, just north of Stoke-on-Trent. I had a very privileged childhood and enjoyed playing football and cricket, building dams in the local brook... in-between milking the cows, haymaking, etc... a typical country boy! I left England in the '90s to travel and settle in New Zealand Aotearoa.

I feel very privileged to be part of the Rosmini team, and would like to thank the BOT and SLT for putting their faith in me, to be able to serve, and guide your children on their journey of faith in our Christ-centered community.

God bless / Ma te Atua koe e manaaki.
