Rosmini achieves high accolades in Economics competition

A group of Rosmini College senior students have achieved impressive results at the 2023 New Zealand Economics Competition.

The annual competition, conducted by the University of Auckland, is a prestigious event that showcases the exceptional talent that New Zealand secondary students have in economics. The competition tests students' knowledge of economic theory and current economic issues. Close to 2000 students from 56 secondary schools sat this exam in June of this year.

At last night's award presentation ceremony at Auckland University Rayen Lee (Y13) won a Higher Distinction award. Only 10% of students nationwide gained a Higher Distinction. A huge congratulations Rayen!

Congratulations also go to Year 13 students Reuben Paul and Ryan Siby, and Year 12 students Tiaan Jacobs, Blake Jay and Will Jones, who received a Certificate of Distinction, awarded to the top 15% of students nationwide.

Twelve other Rosmini students gained a Certificate of Credit.

Thank you for taking part and representing the College so well, and thank you to the teachers involved.
