Year 13 Read and Feed 2023
On Thursday this week, all students taking 13 English Literature, English Visual and English for Academic Purposes were invited to the English Department’s annual Read and Feed in the school library.
Mrs Pierce set up a feast of pizza and baking for the students. Mrs McMonagle and Mrs O’Loughlin set up book displays in a range of genre.
Students were encouraged to get a book out and read for leisure, 20 mins a day. If your Year 13 son hasn’t come home with a book this week, do encourage him to issue one from the school library next week and have a chat with him about what he is reading.
Students heard from a few staff about their relationship with books and experience with reading for leisure. Special thanks to Mr Torres, Matua Wilson, Ms Morrogh and Mrs Waite for your tautoko and sharing your interests with the boys. A huge thank you to Mrs Pierce and the library staff for planning and setting up the event.
