Rosmini Rugby is getting ready to kick off the 2023 season! This year we're aiming to have the fittest and most skillful teams in the competitions, as well as focusing on the boys' enjoyment, commitment, achieving goals, and striving to be "good buggars".

Here's what is coming up for Rosmini Rugby in 2023...

Junior Grade Rugby

  • Preseason all grades starting 7 February 2023
  • North Harbour Competition - age and weight restricted U/14, U/15 and U/16
  • Hurricanes team selection based on performance and availability
  • U/14 and U/15 Hurricanes Tournament and pre-tournament fixtures
  • Preseason matches vs St Peters, Sacred Heart, Liston (TBC)

Junior “Saints Development” Squad

  • Strength, Conditioning and Skill Development
  • Selection is invitational based on attitude, commitment, and drive to improve skills
  • Two morning strength, conditioning, and skills training sessions per week
  • Strength and Conditioning Coach - Mitch Powlesland

Senior Rugby 1st XV and 2nd XV

  • Preseason all grades starting 7 Feb 2023
  • 1st XV Preseason trial matches vs St Pauls, Kings College, St Peters
  • 1st XV vs Liston
  • 2nd XV vs St Peters Auckland
  • 1st XV Coaches Richard Mayhew, Daniel Hilton Jones, and Josh Hoskins
  • 2nd XV Coach Mitch Powlesland and others (TBC)

Senior “Saints Development” Squad

  • Strength, Conditioning and Skill Development
  • 1st XV Squad plus an addition of up to 10 additional players
  • Two morning strength, conditioning, and skills training sessions per week
  • Strength and Conditioning Coach – (TBC)


Intermediate Rugby Development: Planning underway for 2023 involves:

  • Rugby 15’s St Peters Cambridge Festival
  • Rugby 15’s North Harbour Zone Day (yr7 & yr8)
  • Rugby 7’s AIMS Games
  • Skills and Conditioning Coach – Darren Sexton
