All

  • Thanks for all the support given to Year 10 BST Market Day yesterday.
  • To order photos on the internet you need the 'Shoot Key' cards that your form teacher has given or will give you.
    1st XV Rugby, 1st XI Football, 1st XI Hockey, and Sen. Premiers Basketball can order their photos mounted on cardboard but for that you need to pick up an envelope from Mrs Davidson and return it to Mr Roschmann. These photos cost $25 but are worth it as they are much better presented.
    All photos will be sent straight to you home addresses not to Rosmini.
  • Senior Waterpolo:  Any boys wanting to play senior waterpolo next year see Mr Broome after assembly.
  • Years 9&10 Athletics Team and NZ Secondary Schools Athletics team see Mr Wood at morning break.
  • Table-Top RPG and D&D club meeting after school in D1.
  • Music:  Saxophone and Clarinet lessons.

 

Lost and Found

  • Lost Property outside FC2 at lunchtime.
  • Found:  several memory sticks, see Mrs Meurant.
  • Lost:  black Jeep bag containing school books belonging to Isaiah Seumanutafa, 8ECE.
  • Lost:  black Nike bag belonging Joseph Murahidy, 8ECE. Please return to James or hand in at the main office.

 

Senior
Years 11, 12, 13

  • Divine Mercy in the Chapel at the beginning of lunch.
  • Year 12 students who will be leaving at the end of this year - You are welcome to come and get a Commemorative Cross from Mr Mills in R6 before you leave school.
  • Year 12: Any last minute Peer Support forms to Mrs Tait in C5 today please.
  • Scholarship students:  your papers will be returned digitally in February.  A letter from NZQA will be sent to your home address advising how to do this.
  • International Students:  please check the address on your NZQA exams admission slip especially, if you have changed your homestay.
  • Year 13 Leavers’ Mass:  Yr 13 are asked to bring an item of non-perishable food for the basket in the Offertory Procession for this Mass.  It would be great if everyone could donate one item for this last food collection involving your class.  Food items can be left at the school office or in R6.

 

Junior
Years 9 & 10

  • Divine Mercy in the Chapel at the beginning of lunch.
  • Year 10 Retreats: 10SR + 6 from 10SM  - Your Retreat is on Tuesday, 28 October. Remember to assemble in front of the School Office for roll call at 8.45 am, and to bring your own food and drink.
  • All students who are entitled to use reader, writer or computer assistance for any upcoming exams, tests or assessments need to complete a yellow "request SAC form" at least 3 school days prior to the assessment. Yellow forms are available at the office. 

 

Intermediate
Years 7 & 8

  • No more boys may transfer into Music for Year 9.
  • The Junior Forms 1-4 Regatta and North Harbour Year 7 & 8 Optimist championships are taking place on Monday 24th November.  The regatta will comprise of the following classes:- Optimist, P Class, Starling, Splash, Laser 4.7 & Radial, Techno, RSX.  The regatta is at Sandspit Yacht Club in Warkworth. You must be able to get your own boat to the event.  There is a meeting in S5 at morning tea on Friday 31st October for those interested.  This is an opportunity to remind the North Shore who the best sailors are!

Parents

  • Parents of year 7 to 10 students: in the next 4 weeks all of your boys will be sitting exams or doing assessments. If your child is entitled to use of reader, writer or computer assistance during exams (only if it has been set up and has been agreed on with school), can you remind them they will need to complete a yellow "request SAC form" at least 3 school days prior to the assessment, so assistance can be arranged. 
  • St. John’s School Gala: 87a Penzance Road, Mairangi Bay  Friday, 14th November,  4.30pm to 7.00pm Fun for all the family, games galore, coconut shy, rides, entertainment, food, white elephant, cakes and sweets, silent and live auctions, quick fire raffles, tombola, face painting, nail painting and tattoos, hair braiding, café to name but a few.
