  • Reminder to all students invited to the 2016 Sports Awards Dinner that tickets are available to be purchased via the school shop. Ticket sales close on Monday October 10th 2016.
  • Junior Mass for years 7 – 10 will be in the morning of Monday 12th December.  Prize giving for years 9 & 10 will be on the 12th December in the afternoon and Tuesday 13th December will be prize giving for years 7 & 8.
  • Students MAY NOT PARK in front of Peggy Phillips Retirement Village.  This area is for staff, cleaners and visitors.  You MUST leave this area clear, please park away from the village.
  • Students are reminded they ARE NOT ALLOWED to park in the school driveway or grounds without prior consent.  The school zone is for authorised vehicles only.  Visitors may park in the Reserved Visitors Areas.
  • Music:    Jazz Band 12.50 - 1.30 pm, Senior Choir to leave class at 3:00pm and meet at Carmel College after school till 5.00 pm.  Junior choir - practice every Tuesday at junior lunch time. Orchestra 8am Tuesday.  Important:  All boys must attend.
  • The Catholic Discipleship College is holding a Spring Fair on Saturday, 15th October from 9am - 1:00pm!  The fair will include craft stalls, a book sale, second hand goods, home baking, a sacred art sale and fun activities for children.  We are inviting individuals and groups to hire a table at the fair for $20.00 - a great opportunity to declutter!  St Joseph’s Centre, This email address is being protected from spambots. Seniors    Years 11-13

  • Senior WaterPolo season begins in Term 4 starting Monday 10th October at 7.30pm. All players Contact Mike Broome asap to register.
  • Tuesday morning running club 7:45am meet at new gym.  
  • Students are reminded they ARE NOT ALLOWED to park in the school driveway or grounds without prior consent.  The school zone is for authorised vehicles only.  Visitors may park in the Reserved Visitors Areas

  • International Homework Club: run by 6 senior students – Korean, Chinese & Japanese – All welcome
  • Year 13 students who wish to attend the Leavers’ Breakfast on November 4 need to pay $15 online or to Mr Hughes by the end of the term.

 

Careers

  • Year 12 & 13 students interested in gaining work experience in the marine industry see Mr Latch.
  • Year 13 students interested in volunteering abroad this Christmas holidays please see Mr Latch for details.  Vietnam and Slovakia are two of the destinations.
  • Year 12 & 13 leavers:  2 labourers wanted to start after exams, full time positions. See Mr Latch if you are keen.  Possible apprenticeship. You will need your own transport as work is in Albany and Silverdale.

 

Junior    Years 9 & 10

  • Year 10 Retreats are on in Week ONE of Term Four:   They are as follows:  Monday, 10th October - 10 EMS + 7 from 10AMH.  Wednesday, 12th October - 10SGR + 8 from 10AMH.  Thursday, 13th October - 10HNR + 8 from 10AMH.  Friday, 14th October - 10NNK + 8 from 10AMH.  Students in 10AMH are distributed over the other class groups for these retreats.  

 

Intermediate    Years 7 & 8

  • Active Cup Intermediate Cricket playing Auckland Intermediate here Friday 14th at 11:00am.
  • All Year 7-8  boys who trialed for touch teams the list of boys who made the 4 teams are on Mr Rankin classroom door. Please check.
