Caleb Antonio-Rooney year 12 student has just about completed a season of racing in his new race car, a F2 Midget (200 horsepower).

Caleb gained a dispensation from Speedway New Zealand last year being only 15 at the start of the season to race in this adult class .  He has done very well with finishing 9th (there was only 1 point between 7th, 8th and 9th) on the table out of 21 drivers at Western Springs Speedway for the season (even  after having a few missed points due to not completing the feature races as a result of electrical  issues).

Rosmini College Deputy Head Boy, Richard Rahardja (17) of Northcote, competed in the 2015 Australian Open Karate Championships which were held in Sydney on the 10th – 12th April. He won a gold medal for the Junior Male Kata and a bronze medal for the Senior Male Kata. Richard then went on to compete at the 2015 New Zealand Open Karate Championships which were held in Christchurch on the 18th – 19th April. He won gold medals – one for the Junior Male Kata and the other for Senior Male Kata.


Former student Nicholas Southgate won the pole vault in a personal best height of 5.35m last the Sydney Track Classic at the Sydney Olympic Park over the weekend (March 14. 2015). Southgate added 5cm to his previous best.

Year 11 students, Oliver Houghton (15) of Takapuna and Jack Evans (15) of Northcote Point competed in the Rayllass 2015 NZSUP Stand Up Paddling Championships at Omaha Beach on the 28th – 29th March.

On Tuesday 10th March 13 Rosmini Boys took part in the North Harbour Triathlon held at Longbay reserve. It is just the second year our school has taken part. The year previous only 3 boys were involved. It would be great to see the numbers continue to grow. The good thing about this event is you only need a mountain bike because the course is off road. The year 7 boys completed a 150m beach swim, 4km bike and a 2km run. The year 8 boys did the same but swam 200m.
