National Condor 7s Tournament

The Rosmini 7s team played in the national condor 7s tournament at College Rifles on the 4th of December. An early start saw the boys get up against the highly fancied

Wesley College 19-12. Rosmini showed that a smaller side with skill and fitness could overcome the size difference that would be inevitable. Charging through pool play the boys made the cup quarter finals which put them in the top 8 schools in the country. Meeting Hamilton boys high, Rosmini suffered an injury time defeat to lose 15-12, bringing down the curtain on 7 of the 12 squad members playing days at Rosmini.

The team was rewarded for their dedication by having Year 13 student Charles Elton named in the New Zealand Secondary schools 7s team to train under Gordon Tietjans.

This is a first time honour for the school and we wish him all the best.
