Panuitanga – Ramere, 22 Here-turi-koka 2014


  • Only years 7&8 will attend school today due to the number of staff and pupils attending the funeral of Kevin Barry former long serving teacher at Rosmini College.
  • The new date for Cultural Day will be Tuesday 26 August come dressed in clothes that reflect your heritage – prizes for best dressed in each class and gold coin donation to a variety of global charities.
  • Daffodil Day next Friday in support of Cancer Society.
  • Music:  Saxophone and Clarinet lessons.
  • Table-top Game and D&D Club is on after-school today in D1.
  • Advance Warning  re Lost Property:  All lost property is now in FC2 and every Monday, Wednesday and Friday it will be on display outside the classroom at lunchtime starting next Monday, 25 August.
  • Any student in years 9-13 that wishes to be considered as Student Representative on the Board of Trustees please give your name to Mr Bell as soon as possible.
  • International Language Week:  Japanese word for the dayyoku dekimashita (well done)
  • Options Selections for years 8-12:  are available.  Selections can be done online either from home or at school.  Go to the school website, click on Academics and then on Option Guides.  Option choices must be made in consultation with your parents. Option choices must be made by Friday 29 August.  Talk to your subject teachers, or Mr Latch or Mr Cooper, for further advice or if you have any questions.  Those students who have had problems logging in from home please see Mr Basel ASAP.

Lost and Found

  • Lost:  Black size 11.5 AND1 basketball boots. In green bag.  Possibly left in maths class last Friday.  Please hand in to Michael Sutherland, 9BSJ.
  • Lost: London 2012 Olympic bag with basketball gear, if found please return immediately to Patrick Cunneen, 8ESJ.
  • Lost:  Matt Parlane 7JLL has lost school jumper, if found please return.

Yrs 11,12,13

  • Reminder English Scholarship essay due Monday.  Jekyll and Hyde chapter due NOW!!!
  • ID Cards (yrs 8-13):  if you don’t have an ID Card and would like one, please check at Stationery Office, cost $7 each.
  • Part time jobs at McDonalds available.  Please read brochure outside Careers Office if you are keen.
  • Geography Scholarship will now be Tuesday lunchtime next week due to Friday’s events.
  • Leavers gear payment needs to be paid to Mrs Gerrard in the Stationery Office by today.
  • Students applying for University Scholarships should be well underway.  Some at Massey close 30 August, AUT 1 Sept and Auckland 3 September.
  • Senior Exam timetables for weeks 7&8 in all students email inbox’s.  Please check for clashes.  Timetable also available on the school website.

Years 9 & 10

  • ID Cards (yrs 8-13):  if you don’t have an ID Card and would like one, please check at Stationery Office, cost $7 each.
  • If there are any year 9 boy interested in trialling for a volleyball team which will participate in a North Harbour league starting end of term see Mr Sexton

Years 7 & 8 

  • No Form Period today stay in your classes.
  • Year 8 Camp meeting for all year 8’s in the old gym 2.45 pm today.
  • Reminder for students today there is a funeral wake in the auditorium stay away from that area.  Any classes moving to Technology or Foster Cooke do so with the fullest respect.
  • Basketball: skills this Sunday ONLY will be held in the Tom Gerard Gym at school NOT the Breakers Gym.   Starting time 4.30pm till 6.00pm.
