This year the Caritas Challenge is back and we are running an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Basketball marathon. There is also an additional task of boys carrying a water bucket 100 times around the Rosmini Field!

The event is great fun with a sausage sizzle afterwards for everyone who attends.

To sign up grab a permission slip from your Form Teacher or from the School Office.

Bring your signed permission slip back to the School office to receive your Sponsorship Form and this will grant you admission on the day.

The Challenge is on Saturday, 1st April.

This year our donations are going towards alleviating poverty in the Pacific Islands.

So sign up to have fun and make a difference!

Our Catholic Beliefs and Values

  • · We believe in the Holy Spirit and in the Spirit’s powerful presence in the Church today. The Spirit, given by Jesus to the Church at Pentecost, enables the Lord to continue to be present with us today and to continue his saving mission. The Spirit imparts wisdom and knowledge to us and gives us our various spiritual gifts, which are found in the Bible. We are called to recognize and share these gifts with the community. The Spirit helps us to continue to develop our faith and to grow in our relationship with God.

Just as it was the Holy Spirit that moved the apostles to spread the Gospel in word and action, it is the work of the Holy Spirit that moves us to listen and respond, in God’s name, to the cry of the poor. Poverty comes in many forms. The ‘poor’ are all who lack the necessities in life for contentment. Therefore in our own society and throughout the world there are the poor in faith, in love, in affirmation, in education etc as well as the poor in physical needs, such as food, clothing and shelter.

Lord, during this time of Lent

we are called to refresh our relationship with you

through prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Help us to make prayer,

for ourselves and other,

a daily experience.

May we give our time freely to others

whose needs are for human contact and support.

May we also be more willing to give to those

who are lacking in the physically necessities of life.

We ask all of these things through

Christ our Lord.
