  • Philosophy Club … due to Rosmini Day this Friday there will be no meeting. Our last meeting for the term will be Friday next week.

  • ROSMINI DAY Food drive A goal of 3000 items has been set. Bring your items into form class and your teachers will tally them, where you will then take them to M1. The form class that brings in the most will get a pizza lunch. The House will be awarded the house cup. Announced week 10. Food Drive wishlist: Med-large tins of tuna, salmon, corned beef, pasta sauces, meal sauces, tea, coffee, milo, biscuits, crackers, muesli bars.

  • ROSMINI DAY Quiz This starts this week. The link to this will be given to your form teachers, so ask them for it and compete! The winner will be announced in week 10 and awarded a monetary prize.

  • Beats By Bingo is on THIS Friday! Tickets are available now, until 30 June… there are no door sales. Purchase them via Kindo shop.tgcl.co.nz/shop/index or the myKindo app. COme and enjoy this community event!

  • Rosmini is looking for homestay families for international high school students, for between 4 weeks to a year. We are currently looking for families in the area who want to experience hosting an international student, are willing to provide guidance and to integrate them into their home. Students require their own room and 3 meals a day (including snacks). Our homestays are compensated for every student in their care.   • Calling all Volunteers! Join the Student Volunteer Army! Inviting ALL of you who are volunteering in some way to SERVE our school and local community. This can include liturgy duties at school and your Parish, sports coaching and refereeing, Over the Back Fence, planting trees in the environment, cleaning up beaches, any Young Vinnie activity and many more. Come to FC2 on a Monday or Wednesday lunch break and find out how you can earn service badges and build up a portfolio of community service for your future.

  • BACK UP DATA If you are saving any work in your student folder please ensure that you are taking responsibility for your work by backing it up. Work can be backed up using a USB, to the cloud, external hard drive and so on. Saving it on school accounts / folders is not enough

  • De Paul House non-perishable food items Food items can be dropped at the Office door of De Paul House, 92-96 Onewa Road, Northcote Point (phone 09 480 5959) or brought to the school by your son. Remember, every gift fulfils our School's motto, "Charity Fulfils the Law". De Paul House Food bank wish list: Med-large tins of tuna, salmon, corned beef, pasta sauces, meal sauces, tea, coffee, milo, biscuits, crackers, muesli bars. Personal care: shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap. Household: laundry and dishwashing liquid, spray and wipe. 

  • Housekeeping reminders for students: A) You must attend in uniform and please ensure you are neat and tidy. You are representing the college when in public. B) Please do not go through St Joseph’s School. C) Rules around student cars in school still apply. Please do not bring your car into school and please do not park in school.   

  • Carpark and front of the school is out of bounds before and after school and during  breaks. 

  • Please DO NOT TOUCH or MOVE any of the pest traps at school.

 

Rosmini Sport

Careers    

  • Whenuapai Airbase is restarting its base visits for students in Year 11 to 13 after a break due to covid.The next visit is being held on Thursday the 7th July from 1pm to 3pm at RNZAF Base Auckland. If you are keen, email Mr Latch this week, or see him on Monday to secure a spot.

  • Jobs in the Navy. The Defence Recruiting Team will hold a webinar, specifically for the Naval logistic trades Operational Administrator and Logistics Supply Specialist on 20 July at 6pm. See Mr Latch for more details and the link to attend online.

  • Any student in Years 11, 12 or 13 interested in a career in the Police or Defence Force there is an excellent one-day course at Rangitoto College on the 19th of July (holidays) where you are exposed to the physical training requirements and jobs/roles within these groups. Email Mr Latch or see him on Monday to secure a spot.

     

  • Simply Fresh has a part time job going at the moment. The job includes cleaning up the butchery and helping the butchers on Saturday. Hours: after school 4-6pm, 1-2 times a week, and Saturday 9am-about 6pm. The person needs to be fit and strong enough to lift 30Kg. If interested contact James on 021 877 455.

 

Senior Years  11  -  13 

  • Year 13: All peer support leaders and individual mentors, please come to a meeting today, Thursday, in D1 at morning interval.

  • Reminder: ring sizing in the Drama room, this Thursday lunchtime.

  • Model and full-sized aeroplane builds will be running after school Wednesday and Saturday.

  • DO NOT park in St Joseph’s school carpark, St Joseph’s Parish, Lake House Arts nor the Church of Latter Day Saints Car Park. YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED!    

 

Junior  Years   9   &  10

  • Model and full-sized aeroplane builds will be running after school Wednesday and Saturday.

 

Intermediate   Years  7   &   8

  • Rugby 7s House Competition (round 2) today at lunchtime field 3. Be prompt as the first game starts at 1255pm.

 

Lost Property

  • Students, please take responsibility for your uniform and personal items. Name it  -  Look after it  -  Collect it! Due to the large amount of lost property, you and your caregiver will be emailed on your school email if your items are named and have been found. The onus is on you, the student, to collect your items from Lost Property during your break.

  • New PE Uniform Rosmini College is now working with Dynasty Sport as the exclusive supplier of PE uniform and teamwear for the school. We have worked together on a planned transition into a new PE uniform for term 4 2022. Dynasty Sport has created an online pre-order system where students and parents can pre-order PE shirts and shorts ahead of Term 4. Delivery for pre-ordered items is expected in mid-September 2022.   • Information on Second Hand Uniform sales using the online Kindo platform can be found on the school website, including term dates for sales, collection and donations. The shop is run by a few parents in their 'spare' time and neither we nor the office staff are able to process donations throughout the term, so we kindly ask for donations to be dropped off at the school office in the last week of term only.
